Description: Ambience is an artistic response to a typographical layout analysis that developed throughout the semester. The work is composed of a two metre long per one metre forty wide coarse hanging cloth partially covered by black spraypainted typographical weight blocks. A curtain which separates the inside from the outside of a living block to create a paradox of language.

I spray painted over the complete list of words on the stencil but translated onto the canvas only the bulkiest of them creating a series of black marks, which no longer read a list but the heaviest part of a design, of a language. To dissipate and distort the meaning-loaded, busy web created by language. The contrasting relationship between heaviness and lightness. An imminent call for lost in translation. What does this mean to you?
